Hearty Bison Stew

 

Ingredients

Crust

3 POTATOES CUT INTO 1 INCH PIECES

1/4 CUP FLOUR

4-5 CARROTS CUT INTO 1 INCH PIECES

1-2 CUPS WATER (OR MORE)

1-1/2 TSP. SALT

1 CAN TOMATOES OR TOMATO SAUCE

1/2 TSP. BLACK PEPPER

2 ONIONS, CHOPPED

2 BAY LEAVES

1 CLOVE GARLIC, CHOPPED : 1-2 WHOLE CLOVES (OPTIONAL)

2-3 STALKS CELERY, CHOPPED

1 SMALL PKG. FROZEN VEGETABLES


Directions

Put bison pieces into crock pot with water. Cook on low for 7-9 hours (overnight) before adding other ingredients.

Add all other ingredients, excpet frozen vegetables.Cook on low for 8-12 hours or high for 6-8 hours. Add frozen vegetables approximately 2-3 hours before the end of the cooking time.

Makes about 10 servings.
