Savory Stuffed Peppers

 

Delicious, nutrition packed meal the whole family will love!

Ingredients

6 LARGE GREEN, RED OR YELLOW PEPPERS

1 LB GROUND BEEF

1 LB GROUND BISON

4T CHOPPED ONION

2 CUPS COOKED BROWN RICE

2 T SALT

1 GARLIC CLOVE

1 CAN (28OZ) TOMATO SAUCES

BREAD CRUMBS


Directions

Clean peppers and cook in boiling water for 5 minutes and then drain.

Cook meat and onion in skillet until meat is lightely brown. Then drain. Stir in rice, salt, garlic and 2 sups of tomatoe sauce. Heat through.

Stuff each pepper with meat mixture. Stand upright in ungreased baking dish. Pour remaining sauce over peppers and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Cover dish and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
