Salmon is a superfood rich in Omega-3 fish oils, or good “fatty acids.” Despite the possibilities of mercury in ocean fishes, salmon is a healthy alternative to many other meats. Salmon are rich in many nutrients including good “fatty acids” and of course, Omega-3 fish oils are an ideal antioxidant for general cell health and proper functioning of your body.
Omega-3 Fatty Acids:
Fish rich in Omega-3 fish oils or good fatty acids offer a variety of nutritional and health benefits. Even the American Heart Association recommends salmon, mackerel, tuna, herring, and other ocean fish as rich sources of polyunsaturated fats, or the preferred form of fats for a diet.

Additionally, the traditional diets in schools promote cultural identity, but of interest, the study also indicates the use of other superfoods in the traditional Alaskan diet including blueberries, cranberries, seaweed and other nutrient-rich foods that support an holistic approach to overall health.
The Omega 3 Fatty Acids are a daily essential. Not only are EPA and DHA Omega 3 fatty acids important, but ALA as well. A terrific source of ALA can be found in the Chia plant (Salvia Hispanica). Remember, most inexpensive fish oils are rancid, as the process is very fastidious and unstable. One of the reasons Kylea was unable to put the Omega 3 fatty acids in our Total Living Drink formulas is because a good quality source of them is in high quality fish oils or Chia oils.
