KYLEA'S TOTAL LIVING DRINK SAVED MY LIFE

Early one morning in December of 2004, I was shuffling toward the coffee pot when I caught my slipper on the threshold of my kitchen floor, tried to catch myself by reaching for the counter, and fell anyway, causing a spiral break at the point where my right shoulder attaches to my right arm. In the meantime, my son who had been living in Chicago, relocated to South Carolina to be near family, and when he saw how I had no energy and felt so bad all the time, he became alarmed.

Now you'd have to know my son... he doesn't alarm easily, but he knew something wasn't right with me. Meanwhile, I had tried not to let my husband know what was going on with my health because we had only major medical coverage, and I knew if I told him how bad I really felt, he'd insist I go to the doctor. Finally, however, I became so alarmed about my own condition, I made an appointment with the doctor myself!

I saw the doctor on a Friday, and when I listed my symptoms, he told me, "We're going to spend a lot of your money." Now he's been my family doctor since the 1970s, so he always jokes with me, but he was dead serious. I knew he planned to have a lot of tests run, and he said at least 3 times before I left his office, "Now you call the office first thing Monday morning. Promise me!" I promised him I would, but when I left his office I didn't tell my husband what the doctor had said. I knew after raising a large blended family, we did not have the resources to pay for lots of medical tests.

So I prayed... earnestly, asking God to heal me because He knew I couldn't afford to have all those tests run or pay for some kind of surgery.
